What’s inside:

Prologue: The Camel Brand, The human name quest started in Babel

Introduction: A Kaleidoscope of names, God is a multi-faceted personality. He forms us into His image as we allow Him to brand us with His character.

  1. What’s in a Name?

Our relationship with God grows as we get to know the character that underlies His names.

  2. A Faith Journey:

God revealed Himself to Moses as Yahweh and increased his faith that he could lead Israel out of Egypt.

  3. A Rainbow Spectrum of Glory:

Exploring the connection between God’s glory and His names. The difference between fear and reverence.

  4. Approaching Glory:

The God of glory is eternally committed to relationship with us.

  5. Scorched Ground:

Names that express the holiness and righteousness of God.

  6. Pledging Allegiance:

The Lord of hosts, the Lord of banner, and other names that reflect God’s supremacy.

  7. Intersecting with the Everlasting God:

We find life’s enduring purpose in partnership with the Eternal God.

  8. The Gods Must Be Crazy:

If He is God of gods, then who are the gods and how much greater is He than them.

  9. Ministry to Foreign Affairs:

Jesus’ exclusive claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. And how to explain that awkward name, “Jealous God”.

  10. Like Father, Like Child:

The mission of Jesus; to reveal God as Father and to reconcile us to Him as His adopted children.

  11. Satisfied By God:

God satisfies thirsty souls. Jesus is the ultimate thirst-quenching fountain.

  12. Riding by Faith:

Names that celebrate God’s relationships with people. Abraham, Hagar and David all had relationships with God that open different windows on His character and ways.

  13. Getting Personal:

God changed Jacob’s character and his name as He revealed more of His own names.

  14. The Interpreter:

Emmanuel is “God with us” in three senses.

  15. Welcoming the Good Shepherd:

The title “Shepherd” combines many aspects of God into one role

  16. Two Sides of a Coin:

Jesus’ divine and human sides are evident in many of His names, especially those mentioned in the nativity stories.

  17. Hark the Herald Angel:

Why were the Bethlehem shepherds so excited about “a Savior, Christ the Lord”?

  18. Four Threads in an Embroidery:

Tracing the roots of the messianic titles of Jesus, in particular, Son of David, Son of God, Son of Man, and Servants of the Lord.

  19. A Disappointed Messiah:

Jesus fell short of most contemporary messianic expectations but He was still God’s Messiah.

  20. Who Do You Say That I Am?

The names that people called Jesus say a lot about Him—and them.

  21. A Matter of Life and Death:

Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life, calls everyone to deeper faith.

  22. Dominoes to Domino:

Jesus’ resurrection convinced His followers that He is both Lord and Son of God.

  23. God’s Saving Art:

Many names of God concern salvation and deliverance and they assure us of security in Him

Epilogue: The Long Hallelujah; The name quest reaches its final goal as Babylon burns.

About the Author:

“Hi! I’m Hibiscus Moon & I absolutely adore teaching & working with crystals! I’ve learned to channel my inner-geek then merge it with my serious obsession with crystals & stones that I LOVE to share with my crystal healer students & clients, bringing my unique perspective to the world of crystal healing & having the time of my life doing so. I’m CRAZY-passionate about my sacred crystal biz here & get a buzz from the excitement my students express when they have that major “A-HA!” moment regarding crystals & what they’re capable of.

I’ve loved crystal beauty all of my life but as an adult I began seriously exploring the spiritual & metaphysical facets of working with them as a healing tool. After several years of research & practice I began teaching others about Mother Earth’s natural gifts. Yays! As a a Discovery Channel STAR Discovery Educator & National Board Certified Professional Science teacher as well as former Science Department Chair with a Master’s of Science (merging Geology with Curriculum, Instruction & Technology) ooooh, boring, I know!; I deliver the science behind the metaphysical aspects of working with crystals while still serving up the FUN!” ~ Hibiscus Moon

Personal Opinion:

Underlined part

This book is not for me personally, let me explain why,the format that this book is written in is in a personal opinion/preaching style, it’s like listening to a sermon. This book although written like any conservative Christian book, has some very good parts that I enjoyed. The way he took the English words, and shows us what they meant in Greek is amazing, I took many notes while reading this book, and highlighted several things in my new study Bible. I recommend this book to any Conservative Christian.

All the authors royalties and any proceeds from The Jesus Code and The Joshua Code go to the support of Mission:Dignity, a ministry of the Dallas-based GuideStone Financial Resources that enables thousands of retried ministers (and, in most cases, their widows) who are living near the poverty level to live out their days with dignity and security. Many of them spent their pastoral ministry in small churches that were unable to provide adequately for their retirement. They also lived in church owned parsonages, and upon their vocational retirement, had to vacate them as well. Mission:Dignity is a way of letting these good and godly servents know they are not forgotten and will be cared for in their declining years. All of the expenses of their ministry are paid out of an endowment that has been raised for such, so that everyone who gives to Mission:Dignity can be assured that every cent of their gift goes to one of these precious saints in need. What Is Crystal Healing:

Crystal healing or crystal therapy has been around for ages. By drawing on the energies of crystals such as clear quartz and amethyst, you can balance the energy field of a home, body, and office. Crystals can help soothe emotional problems such as anxiety, mood swings, anger, PTSD, and more. Crystals can help ease physical problems such as headaches, nausea, nerve damage, and more. Crystals act as natural energy amplifiers that aid and clean our system. You can use crystal grids to help ease pain, stress, and so forth. Crystal healing doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to the doctor but it’s a way to manage the pain or emotional/mental problem you may be suffering from. Crystal healing is a wonderful and natural way to heal as each crystal has a special property that can be used in healing. One of my favorite crystals to use is amethyst, one of the things it’s good for is headaches.

About the Author:

“Robert J. Grant is a well-known author, speaker, and intuitive. He is the author of five books; and co-founder of the Virginia Beach Chapter of The International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS). A professional journalist since 1983; motivational speaker since 1988, Robert is well known for his in-depth, humorous, extemporaneous, and engaging lecture presentations. He is considered as a foremost authority, historian, and spokesperson on many facets of the Edgar Cayce Legacy. He correlates the Cayce readings with ancient and contemporary spiritual traditions including Theosophy, Buddhism, and Mystical Christianity.” The bio on Robert J. Grant was found on the link below.

About Edgar Cayce:

Edgar Cayce (/ˈkeɪsiː/; March 18, 1877 – January 3, 1945) was an American psychic who allegedly possessed the ability to answer questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, wars, Atlantis and future events while in a trance. These answers came to be known as “life readings of the entity” and were usually delivered to individuals while Cayce was hypnotized. This ability gave him the nickname “The Sleeping Prophet”. Cayce founded a nonprofit organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment[1] that included a hospital and a university. He is credited as being the father of holistic medicine and the most documented psychic of the 20th century. Hundreds of books have been written about him and his life readings for individuals. Though Cayce himself was a member of the Disciples of Christ and lived before the emergence of the New Age Movement, some consider him the true founder and a principal source of its most characteristic beliefs.[2] Cayce became a celebrity toward the end of his life, and he believed the publicity given to his prophecies overshadowed the more important parts of his work, such as healing the sick and studying religion. Skeptics[3] challenge Cayce’s alleged psychic abilities and traditional Christians also question his unorthodox answers on religious matters such as reincarnation and the Akashic records. The information on Edgar Cayce in this section of my review was found at the link below.

Personal Opinion:

I have learned a lot about the angelic kingdom from reading this book. It has taught me about the different types of angels and the different Hierarchy that the angels fall into. I am a big fan of Edgar Cayce, and enjoy reading anything that talks about him. I’ve found there’s so much more to angels than I knew before I read this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to learn more about angels or Edgar Cayce.
