This body balm melts into your skin leaving it super soft and hydrated. The smell of this body balm is so delightful, without being over powering. This product is made with Aloe Vera, coconut oil, shea butter, and green tea extract which will smooth, soothe, and hydrate your skin. This product is sure to hydrate your dry skin, it has done wonders for my hands during this hash winter in Ohio. If you are looking for a body balm that melts into your skin and does NOT make your hands feel oily then I recommend that you try this product.

 

How to use this product:

Apply a small amount of this product to your hands/body and rub in. The smell of this body balm will remain on your skin for a long time. A little of this product goes a long way, remember that when apply to your body.

So, the scent of this product is vanilla and shea butter. When I seen that this product was going to smell like vanilla I was a little concerned because I am not a fan of the vanilla scent. However, I LOVE the smell of this product the two main scents compliment one another very well leaving a delightful scent, that will last a long time. I find the scent calming and relaxing.

Personal Opinion:

I got a sample of this product in my January 2018 Ipsy glam bag, I was very happy because I love trying out new lotion type products. My skin really needs the hydration right now! This product absorbs into your skin very fast and leaves your skin super soft and hydrated. I like to apply this body balm to my hands before I got to sleep the smell is very calming. I rate Cake by cake beauty – Heavy cream intensive body balm five of five stars. Personal Opinion:

I received this product in my January 2018 Ipsy glam bag. This is the first time that I have used a Charcoal wash off mask. I was a bit skeptical when I first seen this product because I have used a charcoal face wash a few years ago and it burned my whole face. However, this product did not! This product left my skin feeling amazing!! One thing that I really liked about this product is that it started to clear up my acne, and this surprised me. Personal opinion:

So, I received a sample of this product in my January 2018 Play! By Sephora box. I have to say I was not to happy when I seen a skin care product in my box however, this facial cleanser leaves my skin feeling really soft! This facial cleanser removed my make up very well and I must mention I LOVE the smell of this product. Usually charcoal facial cleansers dry my skin out, this one did not! I rate Glamglow super cleanse clearing cream to foam cleanser four out of five stars! I recommend that you try this product if you are looking for a nice charcoal facial cleanser.

So, I received my box a few days ago, this month seems to be focusing on skincare items. I am not super excited about that I would much rather get makeup items. However, the items I received I am excited to try!

 

This month’s theme:

Each month there is a cute theme for the box, this month’s theme is “Happy you year”. It says “When resolutions look this good, they’re easy to keep. Kick off 2018 with a new beauty routine that puts hydration first.” So, I like the fact that these products are focusing on hydration as many of you know I struggle with dry skin especially in the winter with all this cold weather here in Ohio. Honestly, I need to focus more on skincare then what I currently do I feel like I neglect skincare.

 

About this month’s bag:

The bag is little draw string pouch that feels like a cotton material, it has a cute baby blue draw string. On the front of the bag is a picture of a girl who is wearing a crown that says 2018 and there is a banner that says happy you year. This is a really cute little pouch.

Personal Opinion:

I got box #028, I am disappointed by this month’s box. This is only my second box from Play! By Sephora but I was expecting more. I was expecting more makeup products which is why I am subscribed in the first place to build up my makeup collection and to try things before I purchase them. I am happy though that the skincare items are focusing on hydration y’all know I need that. I am excited to try all the products that I received this month. I rate Play! By Sephora January 2018 box #028 a 3 out of 5 stars. This is only because I am not too impressed with the items that I got in my box.

This is a very creamy lipstick that goes on very smoothly, this lipstick is not drying at all. It is very comfortable to wear on your lips, and feels hydrating. If you are looking for a long lasting and non-drying lipstick, then I highly recommend that you try this product.

So, you would just apply this product on your lips like you would any other lipstick there is no special way that this product needs to be applied. This product will glide right onto your lips very smoothly and it feels amazing.

Personal Opinion:

I got a sample of this product in my December 2017 Play! By Sephora box, when I first seen the color of this lipstick I have to say that I was NOT happy with the color choice. However, when I used it the color was not that bad. I feel like this would be a good color for spring/summer just not for the winter. This is my first time using a product from makeup forever and I have to say that I was impressed with the fact that it lasted awhile and that it was not drying. Let’s get into the formula, the formula of this product is amazing! It goes on very smoothly, and is not drying at all.  I like this product I just wish it would have been a different shade. I may go buy a different shade here soon! I LOVE the color selection of this product there are so many beautiful colors to choose from and I really love that aspect of this product. This product is long lasting, it lasts a lot longer then some other lipsticks that I own.  I rate Makeup Forever Artist rouge lipstick in the color fuchsia pink a 5 out of 5 stars.

So, I got this product in my December 2017 Play! By Sephora box, and I like the product it provides great lines. I’m not a huge fan of liquid eye liner pens. I am still trying to perfect my wing/cat eye look. I mean I don’t really have anything against this product it works really well it is very pigmented and provides bold lines. I rate Clinique pretty easy eye lining pen five of five stars. If you like eye lining pens, then you will probably fall in love with this product.

I got a sample of this product in my December 2017 Play! By Sephora box, I was super excited when I seen the preview that I would be getting this product. I had been wanting to try this product for some time now but could not bring myself to pay such a high price for a highlighter. Once I received this product and was able to try it out I realized that it was not as illuminating as I had expected. I feel like this product was overly hyped up. I mean it’s a good product, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not super blinding which is what I go for with a highlighter. Maybe it’s the shade that I received. It’s possible that it just doesn’t work well with my skin tone. I would not pay such a high price for this product. I love that I got it and a little goes a long way. It works really well for a beautiful natural looking shimmer. I rate Cover FX custom enhancing drops in the shade moonlight a 3 out of 5 stars.

So, I received my Ipsy bag on January 11^th, I have to say that when I seen the preview I was not all that excited about the bag design. However, once I seen it in person it was better than what I had thought it would be. I am super excited to try the products that I received in this month’s bag.

 

January 2018 Ipsy Glam bag theme:

Each ipsy bag has a theme. This month’s theme is “Game Face” I really like the theme for this month it’s all about starting the new year. I like the fact that on one side of the card it says, “I will conquer ____” which is really fun. Take a moment to read the card that came in your bag for more information on this month’s theme.

 

About the bag:

So, this month’s bag is very athletic. The bag is in a mesh material, which is kind of squishy. The base of the bag is a blue and down the middle of the bag it has a neon yellow/green stripe with a hot pink stripe down the middle of that. The zipper has a neon yellow/green shoelace tassel. The inside of the bag is also neon yellow/green and on the side of the bag there is a plastic tag that says ipsy and it is yellow. This bag is not my favorite bag that I have received but it is a lot cuter than what I had thought. I was not to sure on how I would like the bag when I saw the preview, I am not an athletic type of person however, the bag is alright.

Personal Opinion:

I am excited to try all the products that I received in my January 2018 Ipsy glam bag. I was excited when I seen that I would be receiving the BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS StayPut Brow Gel in Licorice. I have never used brow gel I usually just use eyeshadow on my brows, so I am excited to try this product. I love getting makeup subscriptions because it allows me to build my makeup collection. All in all, I am happy with the products that I received in this month’s bag, I will be conducting separate reviews on each product that I received once I have had some time to try each product out. I give January 2018 Ipsy glam bag five of five stars.

So, I got a sample of this product in my December 2017 Ipsy glam bag I love gel eye liners, so I was very happy when I seen this product in my bag. Smashbox cosmetics always on gel liner in the color fishnet is amazing it glides on super easy and you have a few seconds to blend it before it stays where you put it. This product is long lasting and is by far one of my favorite eye liners yet. I love how pigmented this product is, I LOVE a black eye liner. I use this product mainly in my water line to make my eyes stand out. I rate Smashbox cosmetics always on gel liner in fishnet five out of five stars. I recommend that you try this product if you are in search for a long-lasting eye liner.

So, I received this product in my December 2017 Ipsy glam bag. I have to say that I was super excited when I found out that I was receiving this product I had the option to get this color or another color and I have to say that I am happy that I got this color. I do not really have many matte brown colors and I really enjoy this color. When I was younger I loved Lisa frank, and this is a huge throw back. I rate Glamour Dolls X Lisa Frank Eyeshadow in HeartThrob five of five stars its such a wonderful product. I highly recommend this product to you if you are looking for a matte brown eyeshadow.
